Heaps of Aussie fun

So I thought i would blog a few of the things we did in Australia. The day we landed we spent the day in Sydney sightseeing. We saw the very beautifl opera house and sydney harbour bridge. We also took a ferry over to Manly which is a beach. We ate lucnh there and marveled at the beauty. Sydney was crowded and we walked a ton but it was pretty awesome to be in such a world wide known city.

Manly Beach
The first weekend we were there we went to Shoal bay, which is a 5 min drive to Nelson bay and 5 min drive from fingal bay. It was gorgeous down there. But before we got there we stopped at Oakvale farms. We fed little baby goats. Petted Koala bears and got up close and personal with the kangaroos. Literally I was bit on the finger hard by a kangaroo. And then 2 of them were attacking me for the food in my hands. They held onto my wrists and pushed on my stomach. It was actually quite humorous. At shoal bay it was really windy and very cold so we only went to the beach for a few hours the first day we got there. We also did an awesome hike of Tomaree mountain that gave us an amazing view.

Tuesday we did the bridge climb. It was awesome but not as great as i would have liked it to be. It however was an expierence i will never forget. The rest of the week we did some shopping and spent some time with Scott's family. His lil brother stephen took us to a cafe/bar for cake and Hot chocolate. He wanted to do this cause he said everyone goes out for coffee and cake, but knowing we don't drink coffee he got us hot chocolate.

Thursday through monday we went to Forster they pronounce it Fosta.. we had a unit right on the beach. It was a bearthtaking view. We did get lots of beach time on this beach but there was bad weather here too but we made the most of it. We went to a moive indoor swimming, ten pin bowling as they call it, and we watched movies. We also went to the shops a lot and got ice cream several times. We sang on the i pod mostly to Crush by David Archuleta we taught that song to Chernade and Tennelle Scott's 2 nieces. Foster as i call it was a blast and so very pretty.

We did lots of random things the last week. We went shopping in very old antique shops in the old city of Morpeth.. as they say where in the hell is Morpeth. We spent lots of time with Scott's sister Leanne and her girls Tennelle and Chernade. We went to a nearby town called New Castle and did some shopping and sight seeing. We also went back to Nelson's bay and did a dolphin watch and spent the afternoon on the beach.

Overall when it came time so say goodbye and get ready to come home I cried and didn't want to. I loved it there and would go back in a heartbeat if the chance arose. Scott's family is awesome and were very good to us. I'm grateful for Scott for inviting us to come.
